The
Nevada Museum of Art, Reno, Nevada
If you're visiting Reno, this is a great place to see some world-class art!
If you visit the Museum, be sure to check out the rooftop sculpture garden.
Port
of San Diego, Urban Trees
The Port of San Diego has a public art program called "Urban Trees".
Each year 30 artists create
and erect sculptures at the ports Embarcadero area. From May 2006 through
May 2007
my sculpture "Bonsai" will be on display at the port as part of
this program.
Artouring
Artouring offers a cultural “behind the scenes” look
at the artistic community that makes its collective home in the
Reno-Tahoe-Virginia City area. Tours take you into the artist’s studios
that are not normally open to the public,
to meet and talk with them and to see their work. If you've ever wondered
where, why, and how artists
do their magic, you owe it to yourself to checkout Artouring.
The Burning
Man Project
This annual event, which takes place the week of Labor Day, is the single
greatest
arts event in Nevada, possibly the nation. In 2005 over 40,000 participants
got
together on the Black Rock playa to celebrate life and art.
Kineticus
This is a German website (parts are in English) that has a world-wide listing
of
kinetic artists and kinetic arts events. There are lots of great pictures
and links
to the artists websites.
